PIONEER SQUARE LUXE WEDDING - JP AND ZACH

A Luxe Party for JP & Zach at Pioneer Square

Some wedding days stay with you long after the night ends, and JP & Zach’s celebration at the King Street Ballroom and Perch left me exhausted (in the best way) and still plays rent-free in my mind. We instantly bonded over aesthetics and our shared Filipino culture when they found me on Facebook. Needless to say, I was so excited when they chose me to capture their day.

Early in my wedding career, they booked me for their engagement photos. Since then, it’s been an honor to document their wedding vision: a massive party filled with love, laughter, and luxe vibes in the heart of Seattle. With a timeless black, white, and gold palette (need I say more??), JP & Zach threw the ultimate celebration that wasn’t just about them but about the community they’ve built around their love.

The Seattle Wedding Photos Location:

King Street Ballroom and Perch

Set in the heart of Pioneer Square, the King Street Ballroom and Perch is a Seattle gem that combines urban charm with breathtaking views of the city. This venue nailed JP & Zach’s aesthetic: an elegant rooftop garden for their ceremony, a ballroom with black drapes, glowing candles, and lush white florals. They chose this venue not only because it’s close to home in Seattle, but also because it perfectly complemented their sophisticated yet fun wedding vibe.

The King Street Perch’s rooftop garden is a true highlight, and it created a romantic, urban oasis for their ceremony. Just an elevator ride down to the ballroom provided a luxe, monochromatic backdrop for the ultimate party after the rooftop ceremony.

The Getting Ready Pre-Partaaay

JP & Zach started their day with joy, laughter and bottomless champagne. They got ready together in a stylish hotel suite just steps from Pioneer Square. It was so important to them that the whole day felt like one big celebration, and they went all out to make it happen – starting with their wedding party’s iconic customized matching sweat pants.

The suite was filled with luxe details—think red Cartier boxes and matching Louboutins—and the sweetest moments of them helping each other get ready. Between the champagne toasts surrounded by all their fave people, it was the perfect pre-party to kick the day off on a high note.

The Wedding Party Portraits at Pioneer Square

JP & Zach’s massive wedding party was a big part of their day, and their main priority was ensuring they took photos with everyone who played a role in their story. So we snapped all the portraits of the wedding party around Pioneer Square before the ceremony. We were sure to grab family portraits after the ceremony on the rooftop garden, as well.

Their focus on community and togetherness is what I love most about being a wedding photographer. In Filipino culture, samahan means “to accompany someone” or “to be with someone,” and that spirit of connection is so important to me. JP & Zach embodied samahan in every way, sacrificing some of their couple’s portrait time to make sure everyone they loved was celebrated and captured.

The King Street Perch Wedding Ceremony:

Seattle Wedding Photos With All the Urban Rooftop Vibes

Their wedding ceremony on the garden rooftop (AKA the King Street Perch) was nothing short of STUNNING. With a gorgeous asymmetrical floral arch as their backdrop, they exchanged personal vows filled with lots of laughs and emotion.

Their dog was the cutest ring bearer ever, and stole the show in a little tux complete with a clip holding their rings. But what stood out most was the love radiating from them and all their people.

The Rooftop Seattle Wedding Photos

Toasting & Laughing As The Sun Set Over The City

After the ceremony, we stayed on the rooftop to soak in the golden hour light. It was the perfect just-married-moment with cheers and laughter as the Seattle skyline glowed behind them.

These sunset portraits were some of my faves, as they beautifully captured their joy and connection. While they opted to prioritize portraits with their wedding party and families earlier, this was the perfect little pause before rejoining their crew.

The Reception in the King Street Ballroom

Walking into the ballroom was like stepping into a Gatsby-esque black-tie affair. Black drapes lined the walls, the tables were swathed in white flower runners, and crystal glassware sparkled in the candlelight. The Luxe Productions team nailed the monochromatic palette and Honor Flowers created the dreamiest florals to accent the soiree effortlessly.

Not only were their table settings stunning, but they added a super special touch by naming each table after a place they had traveled together. They even had a super luxe seating chart sign with “Oh the places you’ll go” to help guide people to their appropriate table. It was such a fun touch that added more personalization to the reception decor.

One of the things I LOVE about JP & Zach is they have style in spades and know how to throw one epic party. Not only was the decor on point, but they had so many playful elements that made it an unforgettable experience for their guests. Some standouts were their custom claw arcade game filled with teddy bears and Hello Kitty plushies. And the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream stand? A crowd favorite. Every detail was just so them.

JP & Zach had their grand entrance with their wedding party hyping up the crowd, complete with cue cards like “Applause Please” and “Just Married.” From their classy first dance to heartfelt toasts, every moment was a perfect blend of luxe details and playful energy.

The Rave-Worthy Wedding Party

The dance floor transformed into a full-blown rave as the night wore on. With fog machine guns, an epic DJ set, and all their favorite people, JP & Zach’s reception ended on the highest note possible. Their wedding rave was the perfect finale to an already epic celebration.

The Wedding Vendors

Celene was an absolute dream to work with! She understood the style of photos that we wanted and delivered.

Our biggest concern was that we had such a big wedding party and big family that we weren’t sure if we would be able to get all the photos that we wanted, but she made it so easy and all the photos turned out so great.

I’m so happy to have worked with her. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone that we know.
